Oil and Gas

Ana Sayfa Industries Oil and Gas

Protection that extends the life of your pipeline.

In oil and gas production, transport and refining, metal surfaces are in constant contact with CO₂, H₂S, brine and high temperature. Corrosion in pipelines, scaling in equipment, uncontrolled metal loss during acid cleaning and rust in fuel systems are each both a safety and a cost risk. Biyopol Kimya offers the oil and gas industry protection at every point the fluid touches, with pipeline inhibitors, oil-soluble protectives, acid inhibitors and scale inhibitors.

The most common problems in the field

  • CO₂ and H₂S corrosion: Wet acid gases cause uniform corrosion, pitting and sulphide stress cracking in carbon steel.
  • Scaling in equipment: Calcium, barium and sulphate in produced water form deposits that narrow pipes and separators.
  • Metal loss during acid cleaning: The acid used to remove scale and rust also dissolves the base metal without an inhibitor.
  • Rust in oil and fuel systems: Moisture in storage tanks and lines causes rust on surfaces in contact with oil and fuel.
  • Programme monitoring and dosing: The right product applied at the wrong point or dose does not provide protection.

The Biyopol approach

Selection by fluid and conditions
Gas content, water cut, temperature, pressure and flow regime are assessed to determine the inhibitor type.
Laboratory and field verification
Products are verified with electrochemical and weight-loss tests, then in the field with coupon and probe monitoring.
Dosing and injection design
Continuous or batch application, injection point and dose are recommended for your field.
Reliable supply and technical support
Drums and IBCs, batch quality control, TDS/SDS support and field follow-up.

Preparing for a trial: what we need from you

  • Fluid composition (CO₂, H₂S, chloride, water cut)
  • Temperature, pressure and flow regime
  • Current corrosion/scaling findings and coupon results
  • Existing chemical programme and injection points
  • Targeted improvement (corrosion rate, cleaning interval, equipment life)

Frequently asked questions

Should the corrosion inhibitor be applied continuously or in batches?

It depends on the flow regime and water cut; continuous injection provides a stable film, while batch treatment is economical in low-volume systems.

Which acids does the acid inhibitor work with?

It is developed for use in hydrochloric and organic acid based cleaning solutions; the dose is set according to acid type and temperature.

How is performance measured?

Corrosion coupons, electrochemical probes, iron counts and equipment inspection are the main indicators.

What packaging do you supply?

Depending on the product, drums and IBCs are available.
