The invisible strength behind colour and performance.
A paint’s colour, hiding power and durability are decided at the formulation bench, not when the can is opened. Pigment dispersion, foam control, rheology adjustment and film formation at low temperature are each separate engineering problems solved with the right additive. For emulsion producers, reaction stability and repeatability come first. Biyopol Kimya offers paint, coating and adhesive producers additive and raw material solutions from binder production to end-product performance.
The most common problems in the field
- Foam and film defects: Foam generated during production and application comes back as craters and pinholes in the film.
- Pigment dispersion and colour strength: Insufficient dispersion lowers colour strength and causes flocculation and settling in storage.
- Rheology and storage stability: Incorrect thickening leads to sagging, brush marks and phase separation on the shelf.
- Film formation at low temperature: Without adequate coalescence the film cracks and chalks; VOC limits make this balance harder.
- Stability in emulsion production: Emulsifier and initiator selection directly determine coagulum and particle size distribution.
The Biyopol approach
Binder type, pigment volume concentration and target application are assessed together.
Additives are compared in your formulation with foam, colour strength, viscosity and film tests.
Dose and order of addition are planned together when moving from laboratory to production tank.
Cans, drums and IBCs, batch quality control, TDS/SDS support.

Frequently asked questions
When is a silicone-free defoamer preferred?
In formulations where the risk of surface defects and topcoat compatibility is high, silicone-free products are the safer choice.
How is the dispersant dose determined?
It is set according to pigment surface area through grinding and colour strength tests in the laboratory; overdosing can increase water sensitivity.
Are the additives compatible with my current formulation?
Compatibility is confirmed with a laboratory trial using your binder and pigments; we provide samples and support.
What packaging do you supply?
Depending on the product, cans, drums and IBCs are available.
