Strong structures rise with the right chemistry.
From ready-mix plants to precast factories, from job sites to building material producers, the chemicals used at every stage of construction are the invisible components that decide the result. Keeping concrete workable in hot and cold weather, achieving clean surfaces out of the mould, protecting the structure against water and securing the bond of adhesives all depend on choosing the right admixture at the right dose. Since 1992 Biyopol Kimya has been producing concrete admixtures, release agents and construction chemicals in İzmir, offering process-focused solutions to the construction industry.
The most common problems in the field
- Loss of workability in hot weather: At high temperatures concrete loses slump quickly; long hauling and placing times call for a retarder and plasticiser combination.
- Delayed setting in cold weather: Low temperatures extend setting and delay formwork removal and early strength; accelerators keep the production cycle on schedule.
- Stains and voids on fair-faced concrete: A poorly chosen form oil causes stains, air voids and colour variation on the surface.
- Waterproofing and durability: Water ingress accelerates freeze-thaw and corrosion damage; crystalline admixtures form a barrier within the concrete itself.
- Adhesion in tile adhesives and renders: Open time, slip and bond strength in tile adhesives and renders are balanced with the right performance additive.
The Biyopol approach
Cement type, aggregate and target strength class are assessed together before an admixture and dose are recommended.
The product is verified first in the laboratory, then in a plant or site trial with your own mix.
Separate recommendations for summer and winter dosing, hauling time and curing conditions.
Cans, drums and IBCs, batch quality control, TDS/SDS support and follow-up after start-up.

Frequently asked questions
How is the admixture dose determined?
The dose is set as a percentage of cement weight through a laboratory trial, depending on the mix design and target performance, and fine-tuned on site.
Can different admixtures be combined?
Combinations such as a plasticiser with a set regulator are common; compatibility should always be confirmed with a trial mix.
Does form oil stain the concrete surface?
A release agent chosen for the formwork material and applied as a thin, even film does not stain; over-application and the wrong product are the main causes of staining.
What packaging do you supply?
Depending on the product, cans, drums and IBCs are available.
